ABOUT Mr NOPE

I’m Neil Ellam, a UK-trained designer and illustrator with a degree in fashion design and over a decade of creative experience. Now based in Utrecht, the Netherlands, I work under the moniker Mr. Nope—a name inspired by my belief that No Ordinary People Exist. This mantra drives my passion for creating designs and illustrations that are as unique as the stories they tell.

At my core, I’m an illustrator—perhaps even a better artist than designer—bringing a bold, skate-influenced style and a flair for visual storytelling to everything I create. Whether it’s crafting intricate graphics, designing standout sportswear, or building impactful brand identities, my approach is always rooted in creativity, individuality, and a meticulous attention to detail.

Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of collaborating with global brands, small independents, and sports clubs, creating fan merchandise, apparel, packaging, and more. Some of my favorite projects involve combining my love for illustration with my knack for design, pushing creative boundaries, and delivering work that resonates on a deeper level.
